Haringey Mayor visits Bohem Tap Room

Bohem Brewery was delighted to receive the Mayor of Haringey Cllr Adam Jogee, along with a deputation from Haringey Council, in the tap room in Myddleton Road on Friday.

The Mayor asked to visit the taproom after Bohem Brewery donated four bar tabs worth £50 each a prizes for Haringey Council’s new Treasure Trail scheme – the initiative encourages Haringey residents to shop local and to visit other parts of the borough they may not be familiar with.

Participating families have their trail pamphlets stamped in each venue on the trail and can then enter a draw to win local hampers and star prizes. Bohem’s tapster Marek has been busy stamping people’s trails since the Myddleton Road section of the Treasure Trail opened last week.

The Mayor said that he was very grateful to Bohem for supporting the trail scheme so generously and he was also very impressed with his first taste of Czech lager. Marek provided samples of several of Bohem’s products for the Council delegation showcasing the traditional Czech pour.

Around 64 businesses in Haringey have stepped up to support the Treasure Trail scheme, which may possibly be used again at Christmas to showcase the different shopping centres in Haringey.
