Taps Flashback – 17 January 2018

This is an irregular column that rewinds the clock back some years to see what was on the taps at certain pubs. Too many of these will no doubt be from my local, The Great Northern Railway Tavern (GNRT), in North London that has been a tremendous pub over the years for its beer selection.

But not this time. Instead we have headed over the Atlantic to New York City. I took the L train off Manhattan and over to Brooklyn to see Steve Hindy, co-founder of Brooklyn Brewery. It was not a massively long row of taps but there is nothing to beat drinking fresh beers in the brewery where they are produced.

And of course, I had Steve himself doing the work behind the bar pouring the beers and telling me the stories behind each of the beers and of his time at the iconic brewery itself.
